Mission Statement
The West Liberty Area Arts Council will develop, enhance and promote an art appreciation, awareness and action for the benefit of West Liberty and the surrounding area.
WLAAC past and present projects include:
- West Liberty Summer in the Park Music Series
- Community Classes
- School Workshops
- Chamber of Commerce Holiday Open House participant
- Visiting Artist community performances and workshops
- Spring Arts Gala featuring local and student work
WLAAC goals for current and future projects and collaborations:
- Acquire a permanent commercial location for the benefit of museum/artist gallery and preservation, artist space, community art workshops and create a resource hub for our community and schools
- Maintain the permanent location for future generations
- Continue community classes taught by area or visiting artists
- Build strong collaborations with local or outside social or civic organizations and community school in area
- Work with community theater projects
